In 2009, the sales in the first 11 months decreases 4.04% year-on-year after the decline of 45.9% in Jan., 41.5% in Feb., 34.2% in Mar., 32.7% in Apr., 32.2% in May, 33.65% in Jun., 28.03% in Jul., 21.3% in Aug., 13.54% in Sept., and 10.66% in Oct in all lengths apart from 6~7meters and 5~6 meters. It indicates that the market condition is turning better with the decreasing decline, although the bus market is still affected by the financial crisis. The degree of the decreasing shows different in different length as followed: 31.3% over 12 meters,14.43% in 11~12 meters,13.38% in 10~11 meters. The 6~7 meters buses own the smallest decreasing range of 24.66%,then 5~6 meters of 4.16%, and 9~10 meters of 1.96%.

 

2. The analysis on the growth of Suzhou Higer in each length.

① The sales of Higer buses declines 11.9%, more 8 percent than the industrial growth in the first 11 months,2009. The sales of the large buses grows over 16 times and that of the 11~12 meters buses increases 35.4%, more almost 50 percent than the industrial growth of -14.43%. It is rising in 9~10 meters buses. It indicates that the product structure of Higer is reasonable with the emphasis on the development of large buses with good operation.

 

② The large buses sold 70 units, more 66 units than the same period of the last year. It indicates that it is a breakthrough for Higer in the area of large buses. However, it decreases 31.1% in the 10~11 meters bus, more almost 18 percent over the industrial level as well as less 0.2 percent than the decline in the first 10 months.

The seat buses reduce 1.89% overall in the first 11 months in 2009, less than that of buses. The sales of the large, 5~6 meters and 6~7meters buses remain the rising trend, which indicates that the large buses are increasing with small base. All lengths of buses experience the reduction apart from the 5~6 meters with 11.69% up and 6~7 meters with 14.5% up. The biggest decline shows in the 10~11 meters, then 11~12 meters,5~6 meters and 6~7 meters. It indicates that the downturn is the main trend of the general market of seat buses in the first 11 months in 2009. The impact of the financial crisis is comparatively small on buses market in the first 11 months with the decreasing decline trend.

 

2、Suzhou Higer Seat Bus

① The general decline of the sales is 14.9% for Higer in various lengths, less almost 1 percent than the decline in the first 10 months(15.9%), less 12.5 percent of the industrial growth, and more 3 percent than the overall decline of the bus market. It indicates that the decline of the Higer seat buses is decreasing in November; on the other hand, the overall decline of the seat buses makes influence on Higer.

 

② Higer increases 43.8% in 11~12 meters bus in the first 11 months, much more than the industrial negative growth with the decline of 9.56%; 19%in 10~11 meters, more 4 percent than the industrial growth, which indicates that Higer is striving to the large buses and has obtained the obvious achievements; -1.2% in 9~10 meters, less almost 13 percent than the industrial growth(-14.22%), which indicates the traditional advantageous position of Higer 9~10 meters bus is strengthening.

 

③ The growth speed of the large, 11~12 meters,10~11 meters and 9~10 meters bus is faster than that of the industry. It reduces in 7~8 meters and 6~7 meters bus with 26.4% (1022 units) and 26.9% (725 units) respectively, which is the main reason of the decline of Higer seat buses in the first 11 months, 2009. The large buses increase over 10 times in sales, which is the main factor of Higer's profit. It indicates that the trend of the development of the large buses is obvious for Higer seat buses.

The sales of buses reduced 8.13% in the first 11 months, less than almost 4.5 percent than the decline in the first 10 months of 12.6%. This is the tenth month with decline in the bus industry since 2008. It indicates that the influence of the financial crisis is one of the reasons of the general decreasing of the bus market in the first 11 months. The sales of 6~7 meters ( with the rising rate of 209.5%) and 9~10 meters realize positive increasing. While the sales of buses of the others length is negative growth, and the biggest decline in 5~6 meters with 63.8% down, large buses with 55.2% down, 11~12 meters with 20.6% down. It indicates that the market of the growth of the rural bus is increasing.

①Higer sold 3224 buses in the first 11 months, less 14 units than the same period of the last year with the growth of -0.43%, which is more 7.7 percent than the industrial growth.

 

② The growth of the Higer buses mainly show on the lengths of 7~8 meters(329 units),9~10 meters(275 units) and 11~12 meters(106 units). The sales of the large buses increase 16 units and decreases in other lengths. It reduces most in 10~11 meters bus (464 units) and 275 units in 8~9 meters.

 

③ The decline of Higer is less than the industrial level in the first 11 months. The negative growth of the buses is the main factor to prevent the overall descending of Higer.
