It is predicted that the month-to-month growth of the buses sales will exceed 5% in this year.
The accumulated sales of buses is 89,400 units, year-on-year growth of 42.1% in Jan.-Aug. and about 30% for the industry for the whole 2010.
The main reasons for unexpected bus demand are as followed: exporting recovery and recovery growth for domestic demand. On the one hand, the exporting volume of buses is 9326 units, year-on-year growth of 133% in the first half of this year. On the other hand, the sales volume is 83000 units, year-on-year growth of 44.5% in China, chiefly referring to city buses, intercity buses and commuter buses.
It is more obvious that the leading bus builders will occupy the market. Yutong Bus sells 23500 units, Y/Y growth of 52%. (Y/Y growth of 348% for exporting in Jan.-Aug.) The total sales of King Long, Higer and Golden Dragon is 40700 units,Y/Y growth of 57% (Y/Y growth of 134% for exporting in Jan.-Aug.). The market shares of Yutong, King Long, Higer and Golden Dragonreaches 50.5% (19% for Yutong) in Jan.-Aug.
The industrialization of new energy vehicles first is shown in public transport, namely, bus industry. Since 2009, some bus builders have received the orders of new energy buses. The pilot cities have extended to 20 ones currently. Based on the sales of conventional buses, the orders of new energy buses will promote the development of bus builders.
