From above data, it is seen that
 

1. In the top ten main regional markets, the market concentration of the 11m~12m long buses in the last six years are all around 60 percent, which means the target markets of the 11m~12m long buses are in the developed big cities instead of the medium cities.  


2. In the past six years, the 11m~12m long bus' sales of Shanghai City and Beijing City etc. big cities show unstable state, but the general trend is upwards. The market share of them increase yearly from 59.2 percent in 2007 to 60.8 percent in 2012, which shows the other regional yearly market share is decreasing.


The reason that the 11m~12m long buses are popular in the big cities are the following:


(1) The population density of the big cities are big. To ease the urban traffic, it mainly relies on the buses and the subway. As 11m~12m long large buses, the capacity of them are much big, which could at most ease the traffic congestion in the big cities.  

  
(2) The purchase price of 11m~12m long large buses are not too much high and the performance price ratio is high compared to other types of bus products and subway. So the general bus company can accept the prices and purchase them.


(3) Though the huge-large bus could load more passengers, but its purchase and operation cost is high as well as its risk factor. Besides, its rate of return is also low, which makes the company have to take more time to do the cost-recovering.


(4)As these years, due to Chinese policy and subsidy, the usage of new energy bus products are promoted and developed fast. Above 80% of new energy buses are city buses, among which 60% are 11m~12m long large city buses.
