China Produced 54,212 Buses in June

www.chinabuses.org: According to the latest statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the country produced 54,212 units of buses, up by 14.03% against the data in the previous month and up by 5.23% year on year. In the same month, the nation sold 50,868 units of buses, up by 1.25% against the data in the previous month and down by 2.66% year on year. The negative growth in sales in June contrasts with a 2.85% sales growth in May this year. The sales volume of large, medium and light buses stood at 7,527 units, 6,736 units, and 36,606 units respectively in June, which account for 14.80%, 13.24% and 71.96% of the overall sales of the same month.

In June, China sold 7,527 units of large buses, including non-complete vehicles. The figure soared by 37.5% month on month, but dipped by 4.53% year on year. In Mar., the sale of large buses was down by 25.84%, in April down by 23.24%, and in May down by 15.69%. This indicates the downward movement has been showing signs of recovery. In June, the top five sellers of large buses include Yutong, King Long, Higer, Golden Dragon and Ankai. The combined sales of the top five stood at 5,336 units, accounting for 70.89% of the total sales of large buses in the same month.

In June, China sold 6,736 units of medium buses, including non-complete buses, up by 33.36% month on month and down by 9.78% year on year. The top five winners are Yutong, Higer, King Long and Dongfeng, and JAC. The combined sales of five reached 4,622 units, accounting for 68.62% of the overall sales of medium buses in the same month.

In June, China sold 36,605 units of light buses, including non-complete buses, down by 7.83% month on month and slightly down by 0.83% year on year. In May, the sales of light buses grew by 9.80% year on year. In June, Jinbei, JMC, Naveco, Dongfeng and BAIC Foton ranked the top five bus makers. Their combined sales in June registered at 23,136 units, accounting for 63.20% of the total sales of light buses in the same month.
