China Sold 325,700 Units Buses from January to July, 2015

www.chinabuses.org: According to the latest statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China sold 43,723 units of buses (including non-complete ones) in July, down by 8.78% year on year. From January to July this year, the country’s bus sales volume stood at 325,700 units, down by 0.51%. Although the sales of large buses in July saw dramatic growth (up by 20.29%), the sales of medium buses went down by 14.27% and the sales of light buses dropped by 13.15%. Given above, the year-on-year growth rate of the overall sales of buses in July stayed in negative. The accumulated sales of buses grew by 0.91% in the first half of this year while it dipped by 0.51% from January to July this year.

 


In July this year, China rolled out 41,140 units of buses (including non-complete ones), down by 17.39% year on year. From January to July this year, the accumulated production volume of buses in China registered at 325,796 units, up by 0.50%.


Yutong took the lead in large bus sales from January to July.


In July, China sold 7,842 units of large buses (including non-complete ones), up by 20.3% year on year. In contrast, the monthly growth rate of bus sales in June registered at -4.53%. From January to July, the accumulated sales of large buses stood at 39,658 units, down by 7.7%. Despite the drop, the market showed signs of recovery. Yutong, with an accumulated sales of 12,028 units large buses, continued to take the lead in China’s large bus market. Compared  with the sales in the same period last year, its sales went down by 1.9% this year. Ranking the second place is Higer with an accumulated sales of 5,245 units large buses, which grew by 13.5% year on year. King Long’s accumulated sales of large buses, amounting to 4,825 units, up by 9.2% year on year, ranked the third place. Among the top fifteen winners in the first seven months of this year, Shanghai Sunlong achieved the fastest growth with an accumulated sales of 770 units large buses, up by 26.4% year on year. Meanwhile, Shanghai Sunwin delivered the worst  performance in the same period with an accumulated sales of 561 units large buses, down by 76.2% year on year.


In July, China produced 7,379 units large buses (including non-complete ones), up by 5.99% year on year. In the first seven months this year, the nation churned out 40,342 units large buses in total, down by 4.47% year on year.


Yutong realized growth in medium buses sales despite the unfavorable market landscape from January to July.


In July, China sold 6,487 units of medium buses (including non-complete ones), down by 14.3% year on year. From January to July, the accumulated sales of medium buses stood at 39,070 units, down by 7.0%. Yutong, with an accumulated sales of 13,365 units medium buses, continued to take the lead in China’s medium bus market. Compared  with the sales in the same period last year, Yutong sales of medium buses went up by 14.1% this year. Ranking the second place is Dongfeng with an accumulated sales of 4,489 units medium buses, which dropped by 37.5% year on year. Higer’s accumulated sales of medium buses, amounting to 3,487 units, down by 9.0% year on year, ranked the third place. Among the top fifteen medium bus makers in the first seven months this year, Shanghai Sunwin achieved the fastest growth with an accumulated sales of 497 units medium buses, up by 252.5% year on year. Meanwhile, Dongfeng performed the worst in the same period with its sales of medium buses down by 37.5% year on year. FAW-Toyota Coaster, with an accumulated sales of 1,220 units medium buses, down by 34.2%, ranked as the second worst performer in the medium bus market.
 

In July, China produced 7,093 units medium buses (including non-complete ones), down by 3.48% year on year. In the first seven months this year, the nation churned out 39,371 units medium buses in total, down by 2.73% year on year.


The monthly sales of light buses dropped even more sharply in July.


 In July, China sold 29,394 units of light buses (including non-complete ones), down by 13.2% year on year. In June, however, the sales of light buses only dipped by 0.83% year on year. From January to July, the accumulated sales of light buses stood at 246,950 units, up by 1.9%. Jinbei, with an accumulated sales of 69,668 units light buses, which was up by 8.5%, continued to take the lead in China’s light bus market. Ranking the second place is JMC with an accumulated sales of 35,713 units light buses, which dropped by 6.6% year on year. NAVECO’s accumulated sales of light buses, amounting to 22,539 units, down by 4.6% year on year, ranked the third place. Among the top fifteen light bus makers in the first seven months this year, Yutong achieved the fastest growth with an accumulated sales of 5,600 units light buses, up by 61.8% year on year. BAIC Manufactory ranked the second fastest growing light bus makers with its accumulated sales light buses standing at 2,134 units, up by 35.4%.


In July, China produced 26,668 units light buses (including non-complete ones), down by 24.86% year on year. In the first seven months this year, the nation churned out 246,083 units light buses in total, up by 1.91% year on year.
