Analysis on China Bus Sales in October, 2015

www.chinabuses.org: According to the latest statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) in October, the country produced 47,298 units of buses, down by 3.51% against the data in the previous month and down by 7.05% year on year. In the same month, the nation sold 48,267 units of buses, down by 14.79% against the data in the previous month and up by 22.46% year on year. The year-on-year growth rate of sales of buses in October turned positive. The sales volume of large, medium and light buses stood at 6,499 units, 7,098 units, and 34,670 units respectively, which account for 13.46%, 14.71% and 71.83% of the overall sales of the same month.

In October, China sold 6,499 large buses, including non-complete vehicles, down by 14.79% month on month and up by 22.46%. The top five sellers of large buses include Yutong, Higer, Foton, King Long, and Golden Dragon. The combined sales of the top five stood at 4,477 units, accounting for 68.89% of the total sales of large buses in the same month.

In October, China sold 7,098 units of medium buses, including non-complete buses, up by 6.46% month on month and up by 21.02% year on year. The top five winners are Yutong, Dongfeng, JAC, Higer and Ankai. The combined sales of five reached 5,376 units, accounting for 75.74% of the overall sales of medium buses in the same month.

In October, China sold 34,670 units of light buses, including non-complete buses, up by 3.03% month on month and down by 6.72% year on year, slightly narrowed compared with last month's -18.48%. Brilliance, Dongfeng, Jiangling, Naveco and Changan ranked the top five bus makers. Their combined sales in October registered at 20,164 units, accounting for 58.16% of the total sales of light buses in the same month.
