According to customs data provided by the China Automobile Dealers Association, the top 10 countries for China's new energy bus exports in July 2024 are as follows:

The above figure shows that among the countries to which China exported new energy buses in July 2024, Dominica, Korea, and the Netherlands ranked in the top three, with export volumes of 153, 133, and 66 units, respectively. The export volumes to other countries were all below 40 units.

Among the Top 10 Export Countries for New Energy Buses from January to July, Korea Tops the List, Followed by Nepal and Japan; Nine out of Top 10 Show Year-on-Year Increase, with Greece Leading the Growth

According to customs data provided by the China Automobile Dealers Association, China exported a total of 4,572 new energy buses from January to July 2024, a nearly 20% decrease from the 5,644 units exported in the same period last year. Among the export countries, Korea, Nepal, and Japan ranked in the top three.

Table 1, based on customs data provided by the China Automobile Dealers Association, shows the top 10 cumulative export countries for China's new energy buses from January to July 2024:

Rank Country Export Volume Y-Y Growth(%) Market Share(%)
1 Korea 762 59.0 16.67
2 Nepal  424 304.0 9.27
3 Japan 350 465.0 7.73
4 Greece 251 492.0 5.49
5 Israel 229 -28.0 5.00
6 Norway 222 41.0 4.86
7 Italy 176 363.0 3.85
8 Netherlands  173 65.0 3.80
9 USA 167 38.0 3.62
10 Dominica 153 net growth 3.35

As can be seen from the above table, among the top 10 countries to which China exported new energy buses from January to July 2024:

Korea ranked first with a cumulative export volume of 762 units, the only country where exports exceeded 700 units, showing a year-on-year increase of 59% and accounting for 16.67% of the market share.

Nepal and Japan ranked second and third, with cumulative export volumes of 424 and 350 units, respectively, showing year-on-year increases of 304% and 465%, and accounting for 9.27% and 7.73% of the market share, respectively.

Greece ranked fourth with 251 units exported, showing a year-on-year surge of 4,920%, leading the overall growth in China's new energy bus exports and accounting for 5.49% of the market share.

The export volumes to other countries were all below 250 units.

Nine out of the top 10 countries showed year-on-year increases, with Greece leading the growth (4,92%).

It can be seen from the above that the current scale of China's new energy bus exports is still relatively small, and it is showing a downward trend compared to the previous year. This is mainly due to the slowdown in the electrification of public transportation buses in some European and American countries, coupled with the suppression of China's new energy bus exports by the United States, which has led to restrictions on China's new energy bus exports.
