On August 12th, Kerry Prendergast, Wellington Mayor of New Zealand, visited China's leading bus manufacturer KING LONG in Xiamen, China's Fujian province. Accompanied were her husband, Rich Nicolas and Yuan tong, director of Wellington's international affair office and etc.

Jian Shihuang, KING LONG's general manager warmly welcomed the Mayor Kerry and her delegation, and introduced the condition of China bus industry and KING LONG's overseas sales achievement. As China's leading and most renowned bus manufacturer, KING LONG's annual production capacity has exceeded 3,000 units, selling its products to more than 50 countries and regions including New Zealand.
Kerry said:" Welliongton and Xiamen have become sister cities for 22 years, and Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office had recommonded KING LONG bus several times before. We have seen many of KING LONG buses running on the street of Wellington."

With the invitation to attend the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic Games, Kerry added:" We witnessed the Olympic bus lineup in Beijing, which we haven't ever seen anywhere before. I saw many KING LONG buses in Beijing and was impressed by KING LONG bus' amenities and delicacy.
When learning that there have more than 2,000 units KING LONG buses providing service to Beijing Olympic Games, Kerry highly praised the outstanding performance of KING LONG buses.

At last, She expressed that she looks forward to introducing more and more KING LONG buses to Wellington as soon as possible.
