Yutong Holds Its 2009 Supplier Conference

On the conference, various department of Yutong made a review of supplier’s work in 2008 and released their reports of 2009.
Through the joint efforts of Yutong and its suppliers, the company made remarkable achievement in 2008, boasting a sales volume of 31,667 units of various types of vehicles, up by 9.8% year on year. In the same year, it realized a turnover of 14.078 billion yuan, up 12% against that of 2007. In terms of its business in the bus area, Yutong outrivaled its competitors and maintained its leading role in the industry.
Given the current macro-economic landscape, China’s bus industry is set to experience some structural changes: the tourist bus market is likely to be severely affected by the gloomy economy while the passenger car market will be faced with some uncertainties. However, buses used for public transportation will continue to maintain steady growth thanks to China’s urbanization process and priorities given to public transport.
According to TANG Yuxiang, President of Yutong, having made full preparations, the company will continue to strengthen its hold as the No.1 Manufacturer in China’s bus market and do its best to become a mainstream supplier in the international bus market.
TANG stressed that opportunities and challenges co-exist under current conditions for both Yutong and its suppliers. “A win-win result can only be achieved by seeking opportunities and closer cooperation between us”, said TANG.
