Low Floorboard Technology: improve the comfort and stability of the vehicle
Low floorboard technology introduction of traffic vehicles is the inevitable trend of both technology R&D and market development. XML6125HEV series model which are installed GHS III has took the lead in making the low floorboard.
The chief feature of low floorboard bus chassis is “low”. The lowest gap of the chassis is 153mm, measured from the floor. When the bus arrives at the station, the total height can be reduced and laterally tilted, making the height of floor in the same level of the road, so the handicapped can get on and off in their wheelchairs freely. This solve the difficulty of bus taking for handicapped. During driving, the height can be extended to 80mm so the performance is improved. While driving on the road in bad condition, the vehicle can go on extending 80mm and keeps driving. The chassis height is controlled by ECAS height automatically control system made by WABCO company. This performs the self-adjusting function of the floorboard.
To keep the low and stable status from the entrance to the rear end, and to improve the city bus riding comfort, this chassis adopts the head door-type front axle, door-type rear axle and six air bad spring suspension from Germany ZF company, as a result, problems of floorboard height reducing and steps in the bus are solved and the comfort while sitting is improved.
Besides, the crossbeam vehicle structure is used to fit with the head door-type front axle, door-type rear axle, this helps perform the “low” requirement for the low floorboard better. This frame and body are involved in the load-supporting, while supporting the load, the great will helps the small, and keeps the complete vehicle in the state of stability and balance. Meanwhile, this frame structure greatly lightens the vehicle based on constant intensity and reduces the consumption of battery energy to a certain extent.
