Longjiang Daewoo Bus Factory to Start Operation by the Yearend

Apr.14, 2009: Jointly founded by Harbin Longjiang Bus Manufacturing Co., Ltd., South Korea-based Daewoo Bus Co. and Clark Co., Ltd. with a total investment of USD 15 million, Longjiang Daewoo Bus (Harbin) Co., Ltd. will kick off the construction of its new factory in late Apr. It is expected to complete the construction by the end of the year. By then, the bus builder is capable of manufacturing 1,500 to 3,000 buses with an annual sales revenue of RMB 1.05 billion (about USD 153.8 million). Moreover, the operation of the new production facility is expected to create over 400 job opportunities.
Covering a building area of 35,576.5 square meters, the new factory of Longjiang Daewoo Bus (Harbin) Co., Ltd. is to be built in three phases with a total investment of RMB 100 million (about USD 14.645 million) .
Along with the establishment of the new factory, Daewoo will introduce advanced managerial concepts and methods as well as some high-level managerial staff to push forward the new bus builder’s business development.
