Targeting at urban express transport market, Iveco Kuaiyunwang (King of Express Transport) series hit the market with an attractive price tag, RMB 99,900 (about USD 14,650), providing a comprehensive solution for more efficient urban express transport service.
The newly rolled out Iveco Kuaiyunwang series include cargo truck models, seven-seater and eleven-seater light-duty city bus models. Statistics show that these models boast a maximum of 8.2 cubic meters of usable space and a maximum of loading capacity of 1.2 tons, 25% more than the same type vehicles in other brands.
SHI Yicai, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Iveco Sales Co. believes the current economic climate has set up higher requirements for more efficient urban passenger and cargo transportation. Moreover, customers are now more aware of vehicle’s loading capacity, fuel economy and supplier’s maintenance service. Given this, the birth of Kuaiyunwang will surely satisfy the niche market.
Another attractive feature of Iveco Kuaiyunwang series light-duty city buses and trucks is their competitively low price, which is pitched below RMB 100,000 (about RMB 14,665). Along with the further development of diesel engine technologies and the upgrading of emission standards, some insiders believe that a reshuffle of China’s light-duty city bus & truck sector is looming on the horizon. Amid the falling prices, competition in domestic light-duty city bus & truck will continue to tighten.
