BOSCH, an auto parts and accessories manufacturer at the expo, not only demonstrated its complete series of innovative technologies of new energy autos, but also showed its technologies suitable for traditional petroleum and diesel engines. Taking common-rail diesel technology as an example, it can control the fuel delivery to the diesel engine more precisely. Compared wit the traditional engines, diesel engine equipped with BOSCH common-rail system can save 33 percent fuel and reduce 25 percent carbon dioxide emission. Turbo-charging and GDI can improve the fuel efficiency as well as "slim" the diesel engine so as to realize the effect of energy conservation and environmental protection.
"Hybrid power technology has great potential in the future, while the traditional internal combustion engine still has large space to improve technologically in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction." said Uwe Raschke, a member of the Board of Management of BOSCH. Peter Pang, President of BOSCH (China) Investment Co., Ltd. stated that it was the responsibility of auto parts and accessories enterprises to realize the goal of environmental protection, and BOSCH would, on one hand, introduce advanced new energy technology in accordance with the market demands; on the other hand, drive the new technologies suitable for traditional autos to support most of the consumers to realize the goal of energy conservation and environmental protection.
The goal of environmental protection can be realized by improving the core parts and accessories, while by improving the technologies of tires, which are not so noticeable, the efficient fuel conservation and emission reduction can also be realized. President of YOKOHAMA Tire Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Shi Zefeng told the correspondent, "We are always trying our best to develop tires with good environmental-friendly performance, and our ultimate aim is to develop such products with zero burden or near zero burden to the environment." Manufacturers should make special efforts to such aspects as engine, gearbox, electronic parts and accessories, and realize breakthrough with continuous hard work.
In this auto expo, many enterprises with independent brands brought their latest development results of auto parts and accessories to their exhibition stages. For instance, Chana showed four high-performance environment-friendly engine products and announced its "Tomorrow Program", in which Chana planned to invest RMB20 billion yuan on the construction of the largest engine R&D and production base in China till 2012 and create an advanced "Power Silicon Valley". Xu Liuping, Board Chairman of Chana Automotive Corporation, stated that Chana would also increase its investment to the essential technologies of new energy vehicles. And Liu Ying also put forward that in the medium and long run, manufacturers shall attach the same importance to the R&D of the parts and accessories of traditional vehicles and new energy vehicles, and make efforts to the further environmental protection.
