Severely affected by the global economic slump, a host of domestic bus builders have cut their spending on brand promotion activities. Suzhou-based Higer Bus Company Limited (Higer for short), however, is one exception.
From Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference to Summit of the Americas taking place in Trinidad and Tobago, both of which convened on Apr. 17-19, the presence of Suzhou Higer buses have ensured the smooth transport services for the two high-profile conferences.
From Feb. 27 to Apr. 22, Suzhou Higer traveled from Beijing to Shanghai attending the three most important bus exhibitions in China, namely the Seventh Beijing International Bus and Auto Parts Exhibition, Shanghai Busworld Asia 2009 and Beijing China International Exhibition on Buses, Trucks & Components, becoming the only bus builder that was not absent at the three big events.
Faced with the dire market conditions, Suzhou Higer is well aware that only quality products can finally weather through the hard times. Being able to serve at Boao Forum and Summit of Americas has already sent a clear message to the public that buses branded with Suzhou Higer are trustworthy.
As to attending bus exhibitions, Suzhou Higer attaches more importance to its brand promotion and treasures the great opportunities to have face-to-face communications with its customers. As a company aiming at becoming a competitive player in the global bus building industry, Suzhou Higer attended Busworld Asia 2009 in Shanghai, which brought great attention from overseas customers. Even though the international bus market is hit hard by the crisis, the company firmly believe that China’s buses & coaches with high performance-price ratio will become increasingly popular in the near future in the global market.
In 2008, Suzhou Higer sold 16,454 units of buses & coaches and realized sales revenue of RMB 5.16 billion (USD 755.911 million). Its export volume stood at 3,321 units, worth nearly USD 200 million.
Under the current condition, confidence is more important than gold. While continuing to boost the quality of its products and maintaining premium services, Suzhou Higer is also actively promoting its brand name in hope of moving closer to its customers.
