On May 18, 2009, accompanied by Henan Provincial leaders, HE Guoqiang, Secretary of CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection and Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee paid a special visit to Yutong Industrial Park.
TANG Yuxiang, President of Yutong Group, briefed HE on the company’s business operation. Despite of the unfavorable macroeconomic situation, Yutong from the top to the bottom has been actively taking a host of measures to maintain a sound and fast growth momentum.
HE recalled that he saw many Yutong branded buses in Cuba when he paid an official visit to the country. TANG introduced to him that Yutong has inked a deal of exporting 5,348 units of buses to Cuba. To date, over 3,000 Yutong buses have been put into operation there. Moreover, the bus builder has set up a CKD factory to strengthen its presence in the local market.
After a tour of Yutong’s production line, HE also visited the company’s bus experiment center and experienced the drivability of its new bus model ZK6147.
While wrapping up his tour, HE urged Yutong to continue strengthen its R&D work and tighten up its internal management. Greatly encouraged, the company expressed its determination to keep actively involved in developing new markets so as to sharpen its core competitiveness.
