Ten All-electric Buses Put into Operation in Shanghai

English.chinabuses.com: on Jul. 28, Shanghai added ten brand new all-electric city buses to its fleet. According to sources, the pollution-free bus can travel up to 250 km and reach a max. speed of 110km/h after a four-hour battery recharge.

Ten all-electric buses ready to hit the road in Shanghai

Priced at RMB 2.5 million (about USD 365,893), the green bus is equipped with 47 passenger seats and has a life expectancy of eight years. In addition, it can accelerate from a standstill to 30km/h in just 9.69 seconds. While operating more quietly, the bus only consumes 1/5 energy that usually needed for a traditionally built bus.
