After the bus burning incident on Jun. 5 this year, Chengdu Municipal Government has taken a host of measures to prevent such serious accident from happening again. Sichuan Provincial Firefighting Dept. also joined the efforts by initiating a new research program on developing firefighting systems on city buses. Currently, the new system is under assessment conducted by some bus experts and will realize serial production in Oct.
