Zhongtong: New-energy Buses Start Service

English.chinabuses.com: According to the news from Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd (Zhongtong for short as below) reported that total 10 new-energy buses were put into commercial operation on September 9, 2009 in the city of Jinan, Shandong province and the remaining 11 buses will be in operation on September 10. New-energy buses become the new city image in Jinan.

Zhongtong says the emission standard of these buses reaches Euro IV and each vehicle’s value is about 1.1 million Yuan. The buses are equipped with air-conditioner and the engine type belongs to diesel. The total length of the bus is 12 meters and appearance is similar with the normal bus. New-energy buses can save more than 30% fuel consumption comparing the old style.
Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., as an excellent example of Chinese bus enterprise, is a joint-stock company with the production specialized in large buses about 40 years.
