Exclusive interview with Chairman of Xinjiang Xinjian Passenger Transportation Group
As for preparation for the Yutong Cup, Mr. Yang said, “We had overall preparations for this competition. And we initiated selecting match in Xinjiang after receiving notice of the competition in April this year. However, we were severely impacted by the riots happened in Xinjiang this year with obviously less traveling. We met great challenge and we were wondering whether we can join the match. Finally we finished the selection with support from competent authorities of transport and communications. So it meant a lot for us to join the competition.”
When speaking of management of Xinjiang Xinjian Passenger Transportation Group, Mr. Yang told us, “We pay much attention on that and corresponding fuel consumption standard were drew up for different lines and cab models. Drivers will be examined monthly with 100% rewards and penalties system. In addition, we hold fuel-saving training for drivers regularly, but this was the first time for us to join a match within industry. We regard this match as a stage for passenger transportation enterprises and also a platform to mutual learning and exchange. We have lots of Yutong buses and we are satisfied with them regardless of performance and after sale service. We found that the engine thermal management adopted in the competition vehicles can promote fuel-saving as much as 5%-10%, which is rather attractive for us.”
Remarks by Mr. Yang
"I hope Yutong Cup fuel saving competition can last in the future and become even better year after year,” wrote by Mr. Yang in the remarks for the competition.
