2009-12-22    Source:www.chinabuses.org

www.chinabuses.org : According to the statistic from www.chinabuses.org, Ankai produced 342 buses and chassis and sold 338 units in November. The accumulated sales of buses and chassis is 2,497 units with the year-on-year decline of 8.2%. It is estimated that the sales volume of the buses and chassis in this year will be basically parallel to that of 2008, meanwhile, the sales of JAC buses will increase a bit.

Currently, JAC Motors, JAC Bus and Ankai Bus (JAC Group) all own separate sales channel and have more space of optimization and integration. For example, the channels of markets (the first and the second level )of Ankai and JAC Bus can be merged. In the meantime, the sales channel of the JAC Motors can be used by JAC Bus with the penetration of the market of towns and villages.

The operation of the new joint venture of new energy buses will improve the profitability. The corporation regards the development of the new energy buses as the strategic opportunity with the continuously enlarging investment to take the advantageous position.

At present, there are 6 pure electric buses with the national announcement, much more than that of  the other domestic manufacturers. In the industry of electric buses, the company is equipped with two advantages. On the one hand, the development of the traditional buses is based on the international leading technology platform of SETRA. The technicians and designer better understand and master the electric system compared with that of other domestic manufacturers, which is helpful to the development of the electric buses. On the other buses, the full loading technology of the company allows more space as well as balance of the batteries and more access to the platforms.

About 60 new energy buses were delivered in this year. The cost is higher than that of the traditional buses. The monocoque frame costs about 87 thousand USD, motor and electric control system takes about 73-87 thousand USD,and the gross sales profits is 15%, similar with that of high class traditional buses. It is predicted that the related gross profits will possibly increase when the joint venture with Shanghai Leibo formally operated in the next year.
