The five programs includes SUV plant, Auman GTL New Energy-saving Heavy Truck plant, Gas Engine plant, Heavy Machinery plant, and Globe general Headquarter. The SUV plant will produce MP-X, Foton Midi, MPV, CUV, large VAN etc high grade vehicles with annual production capability up to 200,000 units. Auman GTL New Energy-saving Heavy Truck plant will make Auman GTL new energy-saving heavy truck with annual production capability up to 80,000 units and it will become the biggest medium and heavy trucks production base in the world. Gas Engine plant can produce internationally advanced gas turbocharged engines with Euro-Ⅴ emission standards and annual production capability up to 400,000 units. Heavy Machinery plant will produce engineering trucks, automobile cranes, caterpillar cranes, all terrain cranes etc large machinery equipments with annual production capability up to 6,000 units. At the same time, Foton will set up their global general headquarter to strengthen their business management ability and make preparations for their global developments.
The five programs will focus on new energy vehicles and globalization. Foton will make breakthrough in new energy automobile development and marketing. And it’s learned that Foton has already secured the most orders among domestic bus builders.
Foton five programs will produce high end vehicles, engines and new energy products; Apart from the ability to take domestic high end markets, Foton is also able to break Western technology barrier and emission obstacles and become the first Chinese brand entering developed countries markets, said Zhao Jingguang, spokesman of Foton. To accelerate internationalization, Foton will establish five overseas plants in Brazil, India, Russia, Mexico and Thailand, each with 100,000 units annual production capability. And they will enter Japanese and South Korea, Western Europe, as well as North America markets by production structure adjustments and production of high end vehicles and engines.
Mr. Zhao said that Foton whole vehicle production capability will amount to 1,000,000 units (with 500,000 units in Beijing) and they will make 1,000,000 engines, with new gross industrial output up to 100,000,000,000 yuan (14,645,000,000 USD) and profit and tax 8,800,000,000 yuan (1,288,000,000 USD). And till 2020, Foton will make every efforts to be NO. one around the globe with sales volumes as many as 4,000,000 units and operation revenue more than 300,000,000,000 yuan (43,936,000,000 USD).
