Yuchai Power has a good start in 2010, the order has reached 100,000 diesel engines in January 2010, and supply of semifinished product foundry is of great shortage, which promotes construction of Yuchai Foundry Center. Usually it takes about four months to finish the main equipment installation; however we actually used only one and a half months. Currently some equipment has started to test, and small batch production will start in early March.
The total area of Yuchai Foundry Center is about three hectares with annual production of high-strength, thin-wall diesel engine cylinder blocks and cylinder caps up to 290,000 tons, including 0.8-1.2 liter mini-, light-, medium-, and heavy-diesel engines. And this is am important upgrade of Yuchai Power foundry technology. The key working procedure will use internationally advanced equipment and assisting procedure can use domestic advanced equipment to make stale, reliable, efficient and environmentally-friendly foundry production lines, and it is also the biggest diesel engine foundry production base in Asia.
