Yutong ZK6100EGAA full of innovation elements
Previously tourist buses are usually modified from city bus or plain coaches. After making survey in Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie, Changbaishan etc domestic most hot scenic spots, Yutong designers decided to make a green bus, not only green power but also intimate touching the nature, and harmony, sightseeing and green became key words for the new bus.
Designers came across big challenges on making a panoramic sight seeing structure, in this way they have to abandon existing mature structure and to match new chassis. And the bus model took example by bionics, namely dolphins, and mostly by dolphins rounded body to get the best sight seeing effects.
Spacious and bright inner space
The design sketch was consistently appreciated by all juries when presented to them, but another serious problem emerges, safety. Although the down warping glass from the roof is rather special and attractive, it may not be safe, especially when crash and rollover. And glass shock resistance is weaker than steels. After testing it proved that rollover angle of the bus is 55°, much better than national standard for 28°. And this is for fuel cell is rather heavy in this bus, so the whole bus is like a tumbler with lower center of gravity then average buses.
And double-glazing and windows with double uprights are adopted in the bus model to prevent breaking glass to hurt passengers once crashed. And proper color glass is chosen after considering sunshade and photo needs.
Considering there is no long distance in scenic spots, the bus can run 150 km after full charge. Front and rear suspension has to be adjusted since there are lots of slopes, and flat floor is set to facilitate sight seeing. Finally the sightseeing bus meets all requirements by the designers with 85 km per hour speed and 15 seconds acceleration speed, 20 seconds more than average buses.
