Ankai & Foton Bus Win the Order for 100 Buses (National V Standard)

2010-12-07    Source:www.chinabuses.org

www.chinabuses.org: Currently, 100 city buses (National V standard) operated by Beijing Beifangda Transport Company (subsidiary of Beijing Public Transport Holdings, Ltd ) have been delivered in October 2010, including 50 Ankai buses on No.938 bus route, 50 Foton AUV buses on No. 917, No.936 and No.916. It is known that this is the preparation for the implementation of National V standard and other transport companies will apply such buses in succession.

It is revealed that Beijing government is actively applying the implementation of National V standard in advance and it is predicted that it will carry on this standard in 2011. New emission standard have been implemented in 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2008 respectively and the pollutants for each vehicles reduces 30%~50% for each standard.

Yuchai Engine Equipped in the Buses in Bejing

As the heart of automobile, engine plays decisive role for the energy-saving and emission-reducing. Therefore, Yuchai has developed YC6L-50 diesel engine (National V standard) in 2007 and these 100 buses are all equipped with Yuchai YC6L engines (National V standard).

It is reflected by the related principal of Beifangda that, "The technology of China engine is not far behind of that of imported one. In 2005, the most engines we chose are Cummins and Iveco when emission standard upgrading to National Ⅲ Standard. However, the domestic engine producers develop quite fast. In addition, the maintenance cost of the imported engine is rather high and the purchasing time for spare parts is long, usually, one month for air freight and three months for ocean freight."  In 5629 operated buses, the China engines account for two-thirds. During choosing engines, Beifangda adopts the following factors: price, after-sales service, and fuel consumption index and parts supply.

It is known that Yuchai staffs actively learnt the specific distribution condition of the buses and directly offered maintenance as well as training and supplied following-up service and technical support.
