Sales of China Buses to Increase 20% in 2011

Beijing predicts that 50% of city public transport will be finished by city buses by 2015, and transport competent department encourages citizens to ride on city buses as much as possible. In addition, the upgrade of emission standards will also promote use of cleaner buses.
It predicts that sales of bus and coach may grow by 20% in 2011. The rise on citizens’ salaries and urbanization are the foundation for the increasing sales of buses. Highway-Railway competitions are overestimated, and the 6th speed-up of trains will not deeply influence highway passenger transport. The high price of bulletin train may increase competition of intercity passenger transport, and highway transport will also cover the places where no trains extend.
