It takes the leading to develop new energy buses and accumulated invests 216 million Yuan on the R&D and technology improvement of new energy buses, undertaking the national Plan 863 new energy automobile project. Zhongtong Bus has developed nine generations hybrid power buses and five generations electric buses. The fuel saving ratio of hybrid power buses reaches 30% and power consumption of electric bus is less than 1kwh. At present, there have been 8 model listed in the national recommended new energy products. Zhongtong new energy buses have been operated in many cities such as Beijing, Tianjin and Jinan and ran in Taiwan and Singapore.
