China Hybrid Power Buses Popular in the International Market

www.chinabuses.org:In recent years, many China bus builders export new energy buses to the overseas market such as Singapore, Philippine, Mexico and Finland. Hybrid power buses possibly become the new growing point for China bus builders.
King Long Bus hold the development of hybrid power buses in the overseas market as the top priority after the financial crisis and sets up the development center of new energy buses & coaches referring to sales and technology departments. In May 2009, it exported hybrid power buses to Singapore in mass production.
Lai Zhizhi, the assistant to the General Manager of Golden Dragon Bus showed that, “Since 2002, Golden Dragon Bus has started the specific market research of hybrid power buses and the related products have been of the fourth generation. In 2010, our hybrid power city buses have been operated in Finland. At present, fuel-electric hybrid power buses still show the main exporting products for new energy vehicles. Also, we will issue the electric buses to the international market.”
In May 2010, Higer hydrogen cell power city buses served the first Youth Olympics in Singapore as the official demonstration new energy vehicles for the games. Since 2003, Foton Bus has developed new energy and energy-saving buses. Currently, it has realized the commercialization of hybrid power buses and hydrogen cell power buses. In 2009, it won the order of 75 AUV hybrid power buses from the customer in Taiwan. Zhongtong Bus undertook three national development projects of new energy vehicles: serial hybrid power buses, electric buses for Olympic Games and plug-in hybrid power buses with Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006 to 2008.
At present, such countries and regions are the main exporting market for our hybrid power buses: Singapore, Taiwan (China), Southeast Asia, South America. In 2010, 151 King Long hybrid power city buses exported to Peru and Wuzhoulong Bus signed cooperation agreement with Philippine S.R.T to export hybrid power coaches for the second time in the same year. Zhongtong Bus signed the orders of intent with the clients in Southeast Asia, Mexico, Qatar, and Middle East. In January 2011, Foton Bus won the order of 111 Foton AUV BJ6123 fuel-electric hybrid power buses for Taiwan and made memorandum for 8-meter tourist coaches as well as city buses in the market, striving for the sales volume of 150-200 units in 2011. In 2010, Golden Dragon fuel-electric hybrid power XML6155 city buses have exported to Finland.
