Ankai Bus Wins the Bidding for City Buses in Shenzhen

www.chinabuses.org: It is known from Ankai Bus on 4 March 2011 that Shenzhen Bus Group Co.,Ltd published the result of its first bidding of city buses in 2011. Ankai Bus successfully got the bidding of all 60 11-meter HFF6110G64D city buses. These buses will comply with the National Ⅳ emission standard and currently there have been almost one hundred such models in operation in Shenzhen, gaining good confirmation for outstanding performance as well as fuel economy.
Roll-over test for Ankai monocoque bus body
As for the bidding, the staffs from Shenzhen Bus Group weighted the shortlisted city buses and they found Ankai city bus is averagely lighter 1.5 to 1.8 tons than others. Actually the lightweighting makes obvious impact on the fuel economy of buses & coaches and bus builders mainly realize it through reasonable structure design, application of lightweight materials and adapting of high-strength steel plates. Ankai Bus is the first one introducing monocoque technology in city buses in China, chooses Bao Steel 16Mn products to confirm lighter and stronger body as well as more comforts and durability.

For a long time, Ankai Bus always insists on the improving of safety of buses & coaches and is the first builder to take safety roll-over test in China, according to the standard: GB/T17578-1998 and ECE-R66 in June 2005. No damage appeared on side window, body frame, engine and other parts, apart from the front window when the testing bus rolled off the ground from test stand.
