Three Hundred Natural Gas City Buses to Updated Annually in Xiamen

www.chinabuses.org: There are about 300 city buses in Xiamen equipped with natural gas tanks till now according to Xiamen Special Device Safety Meeting. Officials in Xiamen Quality Supervision Bureau stated that electric RF technology will be used on management of CNG bottles to facilitate tests and managements this year.

CNG is short for Compressed Natural Gas, namely, natural gas are compressed and stored in the tanks in air state for fuel.

 
Since the first fifty natural gas buses started to run last Auguet 8th, Xiamen Public Transport Company has deployed some CNG city buses in Xiamen. And they plan to update three hundred CNG city buses each year and the total number will amount to 1,500 units in the following three to five years, accounting 50%.
