www.chinabuses.org: With development of city bus markets in second-tier and third-tier cities and short transport line connected to rail transit, markets for 10-meter buses are surging.
Ten-meter buses are traditional bus models for long-distance transport, taking over 30%. China urbanization rate in 2009 were 46.6%, and the rate will be increased to over 50% in the twelfth five-year plan. And this posed new requirements on transport on emerging towns in five years.
More and more second and third-tier cities are emerging with booming economy. And 20-meter city buses can effectively improve the city image. Bus operation has been invested and managed by governments. And this is effectively embodied in 2010.
In recent years, development of rail transit in China is rather fast, and this hastened connection transport between rail transit and ground transportation. For there are quite a few short distance and sometimes the roads are narrow, so ten-meter buses are the best choice, for example, all 10.5 city buses were used between districts and rail transit stations.
Bus builders have not focuses on commuters for scattered customers, small orders and non-high-end buses. The markets were much compressed due to the financial crisis, and it may become more and more attractive in 2011.
