The Purchasing Amount of City Buses Exceeds ¥500 million in China in the first Quarter

www.chinabuses.org: According to the incomplete statistics, 960 city buses have been purchased or ordered in the first quarter in 2011, referring to about 576 million Yuan RMB if the cost of each bus is 600,000 Yuan. In addition, the purchasing of 1327 city buses has been listed in the urban renewal project, covering over 796 million Yuan. In particular, the public tender for 727 diesel city buses (National V) for Beijing has completed and the first 100 units have been operated.
In the meantime, the replacement or purchasing projects for city buses have been revealed in the cities such as Changchun, Chongqing, Wuhan, Lanzhou, Changsha, Sanya and Jiaxing, relating to various scales (80 units to 727 units). For example, 90 new natural gas city buses are going to be purchased by Suqian City, Jiangsu Province; 400 conventional city buses in Changchun City, Jilin Province in 2011.
As for the procurement of buses in recent years, new energy city buses are fully paid attention. In last month, 100 natural gas city buses ran in Jianxing City, Zhejiang Province. Also, there were 512 new clean energy & new energy city buses to be applied in Changsha in 2009-2010 (1242 units in total).
