www.chinabuses.org: The 11th 2011 Busworld Asia kicked off on March 30, 2011 in Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center. More than 20,000 visitors from sixteen countries as well as 160 exhibitors will join the exhibition including Ankai Bus, Hengtong Bus, Zonda Bus, FAW Bus, Alfa Bus and Cummins, ZF and Hino.
We found that many exhibitors are showing their new energy products with more and more products with indigenous technologies. Dose this mean a new energy revolution in China? In recent 2011 Economy and Electricity Development Meeting, head of MIIT said that Energy-saving and new energy vehicles development plan has sublitted to State Council. And BAAV New Energy Prize is also set to encourage development of new energy buses.
New energy vehicles are more and more becoming the mainstream buses in China, and domestic bus builders continue to forge indigenous technology and core competitiveness.
