Nanhai Plant of Foton New Energy Bus Branch Works in this June

www.chinabuses.org: It is known that Nanhai plant of Foton New Energy Bus Branch, located in Foshan City, Shandong Province will start production in this June and make 2000 buses, having gotten the order from Taiwan for 111 units.
With the investment of 1.11 billion Yuan RMB, Nanhai plant has the production capacity of 10,000 large buses. The project phase one to be completed refers to the amount of 765 million Yuan and annual production of 5000 units.
According to the annual report 2010 of Foton, the sales volume of new energy vehicles is 1905 units (682,900 units in total), year-on-year growth of 42.91%. Some expert claims, "The production of Nanhai plant is vital for the capture of market shares of new energy vehicles for Foton."
New energy city buses have been used in Foshan and 50 LNG ones ran there in 2010.
