The Large-size Promotion of Natural Gas Buses Lacks of the Construction of Gas Stations

www.chinabuses.org: The operation cost of diesel buses is increasing n face of the continuously rising petrol and diesel fuel price and higher emission standard. And the large-sized promotion of electric and hybrid power buses is restricted due to expensive price and the technologies to be improved. Therefore, the natural gas buses are highlighted for low operation cost, in particular, city buses and long-haul intercity buses.
Compared with petrol and diesel buses, natural gas buses are advantageous in clean energy and environment protection. The application of natural gas for motor power has been over 80 years and the related technologies have been mature, capable of being promoted and used on a large scale for short time. For example, CNG buses are not suitable to be operated in the long-distance passenger transport while LNG buses qualify for such transport referring to over 400 kilometers.
It is the only bottleneck for the large-sized promotion of natural gas buses that the construction of gas stations is inadequate and weak. That is to say, everything is ready for the development of natural gas buses but the construction of such infrastructure.
