Export Revenue Proportion of Higer Bus to Reach 25% in the Future Three Years

www.chinabuses.org: In 2010, the export value of Higer Bus comes to 1.277 billion Yuan RMB (taxes included) with the overseas sales in 46 countries and regions, year-on-year growth of 120.5%. In the first quarter of this year, it has gained 36,812,029 USD, year-on-year growth of 7.97%. As of 31 March, Higer Bus has realized the sales in Armenia, Bolivia, Malawi, Togo and Morocco, according to the related sales director.
Higer Bus has started its overseas sales since 2004 and the revenue accounts for only 1% of the total in that year. The exporting income proportion picks up to 27% in 2008 and recovers to 17% in 2010 after the depression due to the financial crisis. In 2006, Wu Wenwen, General Manager of Higer Bus has brought forward that they would make the company the international bus builder with 8 years and the overseas sales revenue was planned to come to 25% during the period of the twelfth five-year plan.

As for the great potential of Higer Bus in the overseas market, Zhang Zhihao, executive director showed his confidence: firstly, the cost performance of China buses is obvious; secondly, it is qualified to compete with the foreign bus builders for technologies; flexible in the manufacturing and advantageous in products supplying in short term; finally, brand initiative. Higer Bus still holds its own brand when cooperating with Scania and carries on the brand strategy of Scania-Higer.
Six major overseas markets are confirmed for Higer Bus: East Europe, South America, Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Russia, similar to the market in China. Although the exports of large and medium buses decrease to a big degree in 2008, due to the restricted measures for the importing vehicles to Russia and Higer Bus regards this market as the key one. “In the future three years, our products will continue to open the overseas markets, including EU market.”, expressed by Zhang Zhihao. It is introduced that Higer Bus has carried on three rollover tests to comply with EU standard since 2007.
