2011-05-25    Source:www.chinabuses.org:

www.chinabuses.org: “in April this year, the orders are not as many as we expected” the vice manager of Yantai Shuchi Buses told the journalist. In accordance with the laws of previous years, before May 1st, many bus companies will purchase certain amount of buses to meet the need of the holiday. But this year, the market conditions are out of their expectations. In the first quarter of this year, Shuchi Buses remains a rapid growth.

The figure of China Automotive Industry association indicates that, in April, the sales of buses has decreased by 2.39% and 3.84% compared with last month and decreased by 2.45% 1.09% compared with the same period last month.

The factors that affect the bus sales are mainly related to the national macro economy, especially the tightening of the monetary credit and the constant raise of the bank reserve ratio which has limit the loan from the bank. At the same period last year, Shanghai World Expo has pushed the sales of the Yangtze River Delta Region. But this year, we do not have such hot spot. In addition, after the spring travel peak, passengers who take the bus is decreasing and the enthusiasm of buying buses has been affected.

Wang Wenbing, the vice general manager of Yutong Bus Company, believes that the sales trend is obviously not as good as the first three months and it do will drop in May. So if we want know  the bus market trend of this year, we would see the market of June and July.
The analysts believe that, as the most important transportation vehicle, the bus market will remain fast growth and the total demand is 1.43 million which has increased by 67.25%, averaging 0.286 million annually. Influenced by the development of train and personal car, the large and medium-sized buses does not increased too much, remaining at 0.36 million. But the buses in the rural areas are greatly increased, around 0.5 million. The total public buses in the cities reaches 0.52 million and other newly rising buses market are about 50 thousand.
