Higer Bus: Great Potential Market of China Buses in Africa

www.chinabuses.org: It is known that Algeria remains big demand on buses due to developing economy and rich tourist resources, importing 28500 motor vehicles. It is the biggest overseas market for Higer Bus in Algeria, where it is the second largest automobile market in Africa, just second to South Africa and the number of retained Higer buses comes to 2258 units. Unaffected by the unfavorable effect due to the local political upheaval, Higer Bus is still making effort on this market, dedicated to promoting its light vehicles there.
In Morocco, Higer Bus has started the sales of products and is going to further open the markets in Tunisia and Libya, having set up the sales objective of exceeding 1500 units as well as striving for 1800 units for the African markets in 2011.

In the first quarter of this year, Higer Bus has exported 407 buses to Africa, in particular, Algeria, Angola and Ethiopia. The market in Angola is one of the earliest ones for Higer Bus to open and 367 buses have been sold. In Ethiopia, Hige Bus has won the bidding invited by the local government for 502 units, also, is gradually opening the markets in Sudan, Ghana and Zambia.
It is introduced that Higer Bus started to open the African market since 2004 (firstly in South Africa and then extended the market after 2005) and exported 15 buses in 2004, 134 units in 2005, 199 units in 2006, 480 units in 2007, 718 units in 2008, 531 units in 2009 and 1472 units in 2010, referring to the markets in twelve countries.
