The World’s Largest EV Charging Station Pilot Operation in Qingdao

www.chinabuses.org: Qingdao Xuejiadao EV (Electric Vehicle) Charging Station has formally worked today, available for the recharging of 120 electric city buses at the same time or 360 cars. As for battery swap, it is capable of the battery replacement of electric city buses for 540 times each day (6 to 8 minutes for the battery swap for each unit). The discharge power comes to 700 kilowatt, releasing power of 7020 kilowatt for peak load or emergency, up to 10520 as maximum load. It is known that this station is of the most complete functions, biggest scale and most powerful service for electric city buses over the world.
The promotion of EV positively contributes to the social effect. In 2014, World Horticultural Exposition will be held in Qingdao. During the period of twelfth five-year (2011-2015), the emission of carbon dioxide will reduce 186000 tons each year in Qingdao city if 13000 electric vehicles in use.
