www.chinabuses.org: On September 5th, 2011, four transport enterprises from Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong signed the strategic cooperation agreement of LNG with PetroChina Kunlun Energy Huagang Gas Group in Beijing.

At the ceremony, the four enterprises signed an agreement to promote new theory of “Green, Safety, Quality and convenience”. The first green passenger transport network in Yangtze River Delta marked the beginning of green transport project of trans-regional and large-scale clean-energy application, making an example of LNG vehicles application.

On behalf of the four enterprises, president of Suzhou Transport Group SHAN, Jianhua introduced the cooperation with Huagang Group and spoke highly of Huagang’s strength. He said LNG was the liquid natural gas under ultra low temperature with the characteristics of high performance, zero emission and low cost and it’s the internationally recognized new energy to replace oil and diesel. Huagang Gas Group, which was affiliated to PetroChina, was excellent in natural gas supply and network scale and its subordinate Jiangsu Huagang Gas Company, with daily capacity 350 thousand tons, could guarantee the stable supply to the four enterprises. He hoped both sides could work together to establish long-term and stable partnership.

In September, the four enterprises will deploy 107 units of LNG buses in Nantong route and the amount will be 500 units in two years. Emission of LNG buses is 90% less than that of diesel buses, which will bring about economic and social benefits.
