Zinc Air Battery Pure-electric Buses Are Completed in Hanchuan

www.chinabuses.org: On September 29th, 2011, Zinc air battery pure-electric city buses manufactured jointly by Hongyuanweili New-energy Technology Company and Dongfeng Yangtse Motor Co., Ltd. were completed in Hanchuan city.

The new bus is able to run 300km per charging with max speed of 80km/h. Compared to lithium battery, new battery is lighter, of higher capacity and lower cost. These new buses will serve the 100th Anniversary Commemorations of Xinhai Revolution.

President of Hongyuanweili Company HUANG, Bichao said that mass production of new-energy batteries would begin in 2012 and they would provide batteries for 10 thousand buses per year, production value being 3 billion Yuan.
