EREV is purely driven by electric, power system of which comprises power battery system, power-driven system, vehicle control system and APU. Battery can be charged through charging pile or vehicle charger.
It’s known that the first proposal of EREV was put forward by CAE member YANG, Yusheng. EREV has two characteristics: first, the engine can be turned off for it is purely driven by electric; second, its demand for battery is low, unlike pure-electric bus.
Secretary-general of Innovation Platform LI, Gechen said EREV has more advantages than other city buses in oil consumption. Now China has paid attention to EREV and more and more people will get to know it as the development of the Platform.
LI, Gechen thought key problem of China new-energy bus market was lacking of development direction, lingering between pure-electric bus and hybrid bus though the exploration was necessary for China.
