Up to 2010, application of China pure-electric vehicles has been working well, including 629 pure-electric city buses, 1304 pure-electric passenger vehicles and 1307 pure-electric special vehicles.
Meanwhile, responsible person in Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) pointed out that China new-energy vehicle industry was still in early stage and it would take 4 to 5 years to enter growth stage.
Experts suggested that subsidies for hybrid buses should be increased, for market potential of China city buses was huge and hybrid buses for annual renewal of city buses would promote the development of China new-energy vehicles.
