Because of lack of funds, most of city buses in Thailand are old, especially in Bangkok, most of the 4 thousand city buses operated by state-owned enterprises need to be replaced.
Among the old city buses in Bangkok, some new yellow buses can be seen at times. 95% of the yellow buses are Sunlong buses and a few of the rest are Youngman buses and Higer buses.
Deputy General Manager of Sunlong Company LI, Ming told the reporter that most of these city buses were exported to Thailand in 2006. Besides state-owned city buses in Bangkok, there were many private enterprises which owned over 4 thousand units of city buses in total. Shanghai Sunlong had become No.1 brand among the city buses renewed every year.
