By February 2012, Hefei has 180 units of pure electric bus on operation, whose total operation mileage breaks 8 million km and the transported passengers accumulate more than 5 million people, which created the new record of China pure electric buses commercial operation. According to Hefei Public Transport Group statistics, in the two years of Ankai pure electric buses operation, the comprehensive failure rate per one kilometer is only 0.9 ‰, which is far lower than average level of the similar bus comprehensive failure rate which is 1.5‰. It dramatically reduce the operation cost. Besides, the Ankai pure electric buses made an important contributions to the local energy conservation and emissions reduction.
