In 2011, China has updated bus products' standards, and the new standard is to meet the international standards, which have higher requirements on the safety and technology performance of the bus. To make AnYuan Bus be more competitive in the industry, An Yuan bus company organized the specialized technical team to further research of the state mandatory standards on the bus. After that, it decided to develop PK6120SHD4 bus. Finally, in May 2011, it begun to launched the program to develop the new bus model.
After the trial-produced prototype successfully completed, the national testing institutions had done 47 items of destructive rollover test on the upper strength structure of the PK6120SHD4, and finally, all results proved its qualified performance.
