The Signing Ceremony
April 24, 2012, Anhui JAC Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC) and Navistar company at the site of the 2012 Beijing Auto Show officially signed JAC – Navistar to deepen cooperation of non-binding letter of intent in the field of commercial vehicles. The letter of intent sign marks the cooperation between the JAC and Navistar will further deepen the scope of cooperation from the Chinese market to further expand into other overseas markets.
School bus & Brazil project
Through this aggreemnt, Navistar will cooperate with JAC in the field of school bus, including the school bus may be introduced to the Chinese IC BUS brand, as well as the design, development and distribution of manufacturing in China for the Chinese school bus market. Navistar's Brazilian plant will be the exclusive manufacturing and assembly of JAC light trucks, the product will be powered by the the Mai Sifu engine, Navistar's distribution channels in Brazil (and possibly other Latin American countries) exclusive sales.
