Anhui Province Boosts electric vehicles development

Total production and sales of electric and hybrid vehicles are expected to hit 5 million units by the end of next decade, the plan said.


The central government will continue to allocate funds to subsidize customers buying new-energy vehicles, the plan said. In May, the government announced that it would offer 26.5 billion yuan in subsidies, mainly for energy-saving vehicles and household appliances.
 

As one of the pilot new energy vehicles' operation sites in China, Hefei City - the capital of Anhui Province, Since June 2009, it started to constructed its new energy vehicles related equipment and purchased the new energy vehicles. So far, there are 2,018 units of new energy vehicles as trial  operation vehicles and 525 charging piles for the cars and 5 charging piles specially for the large buses. 


Chery Auto, JAC Auto and Ankai Bus etc. Companies devote themself to the development of the new energy vehicles by calling on the people with professional skill in new energy vehicles and building up the platform of the new energy vehicles' technology etc. Now, the new energy vehicle industry in Anhui Province is developing to response to the Chinese policy.
