BPT Group has 21,018 buses, which all reach or exceed National II emission levels. In the bus fleet, 9,353 buses reach National III emission levels; 6,504 buses reach National IV emission levels; 552 buses reach National V emission levels. Dual-source trolley buses, hybrid buses and pure electric buses in total  are1,523 units.


From 2007 to 2012, BPT Group has added 7,200 buses. In 2007, Beijing is the first city to implement National IV emission levels. In anticipation of the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, 50 pure electric buses were firstly used in Beijing City. In 2009, the hybrid buses started to applicate and promote. In Jan. 2011, the fist buses reaching National V emission levels were in operation on the streets of Beijing.
