2012-08-24    Source:www.chinabuses.org
www.chinabuses.org: Net profits of Ankai Bus dropped in the first half year after two fiscal years' high growth. They released the sales report on August 14, and their profits were 12.88 million Yuan, down 61.44%, and the net profits were 15.55 million Yuan, down 49.36% over last year.

The profits decreasing can be traced back to declining sales of JAC Bus, Ankai Jinda Parts and Ankai Axle Company.

The net profits of JAC Bus were 380,000 Yuan in the first half year, down 96.62% over last year; and the figure for Ankai Jinda Parts are -480,000 Yuan, down 284.62%, and 1.06 million Yuan for Ankai Foton Shuguang Axle, down 95.43% which can attribute to dropping sales of heavy trucks.

From Jan. to July, production and sales of buses were 234,600 units and 233,300 units, up 10.54% and 5.58%, which is similar to that of Ankai Bus.

Ankai buses and coaches have been sold to Africa, Middle East and South America, and their double-brand marketing strategy are rather effective in Asian Pacific areas. The sales in overseas markets are driving sales of Ankai buses.

In terms of new energy vehicle program concerned, the design scheme for research center has been confirmed, and they can start to build in Q3, and they plan to invest 76 million Yuan. Ankai Bus cooperation with Siemens on wheel hub electrical machine has passed technical breakthrough, and they are going to produce wheel hub electrical machine pure electric city buses which are more proper to be used in city bus lines.
