With over-10-year exploration and practice in new-energy vehicle industry, King Long makes its own unique low-carbon product strategy for long-term consideration. Currently, King Long low-carbon products include four categories:
1. The real new-energy buses, including pure-electric ones and plug-in hybrid ones. Pure-electric buses have the advantages of zero-emission, pollution-free and low-noise. King Long has developed XMQ6127 pure-electric city buses, XMQ6126 pure-electric tourist buses and XMQ6530 pure-electric light buses, etc.
Compared with regular hybrid buses, plug-in hybrid buses are better in oil-saving rate & emission, and cost less. On July 17th, King Long XMQ6127GHEV7 plug-in hybrid bus won "Best Model Award" and "Technology Innovation Award" in the 3rd "China Energy-saving and New-energy City Bus Innovation Competition".
2. Hybrid Buses. According to Energy-saving and New-energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2012-2020), hybrid buses are classified as "Energy-saving ones". King Long hybrid buses, mainly in 10 meters and 12 meters, have been used in Beijing, Xiamen, Wuhan, Hangzhou and Kunming, etc. Representative models are XMQ6106G and XMQ6127, etc.
3. Clean-energy Buses. King Long has developed all series of clean-energy buses. All the models have their CNG and LNG versions to meet the requirements of different customers'.
4. Energy-saving Diesel Buses. Subject to mileage and ancillary facilities, most bus customers can't replace the buses with the above three kinds of buses.King Long improves its diesel buses to save oil. In 2012, King Long launched "Intelligent Drive Control System" to save 6%-10% of oil.
